Migraine and Food Intolerance
Sharla Race

When I met Alex, my husband, he was in his early thirties and had been suffering from severe migraines for over two decades. He, like so many others, had tried various treatments including eliminating certain foods from his diet without success. Dealing with the pain and discomfort of migraines had become an accepted and 'normal' part of his life.
A cooking experiment with a food that he had not eaten since childhood resulted in an immediate and extreme reaction (including a migraine) and convinced both of us that food was in some way responsible for his migraines.
By this time the Alex's migraines were becoming extremely debilitating with one often immediately following another.
Our path to finding the culprit was not easy or quick but eventually we discovered the cause - a very low tolerance to Tyramine. Within a couple of weeks of a low Tyramine diet, the migraines stopped.
Having watched the suffering that migraine can cause, I decided to write this book in the hope that the same degree of relief can be experienced by others.
