Histamine Sensitivity

Histamine is a biogenic amine that occurs in many different foods. At extremely high concentrations, usually as a result of food spoilage, it can lead to poisoning. In some individuals smaller concentrations leads to food intolerance which is often misinterpreted and can lead to the wrong food being eliminated and/or eaten.
Possible symptoms include:
Asthma like symptoms
Burning sensation in the throat
Diarrhoea
Difficulty swallowing
Dizziness
Flushing
Headaches
Migraines
Nausea and vomiting
Palpitations
Rhinitis
Shortness of breath
Skin itching
Sneezing.
