Biochemical Individuality

Roger Williams

It is easy to be glib about the statement "we are all unique" but it is a fundamental truth that when ignored leads to misdiagnosis and unnecessary suffering.

Dr William's is recognised as being the founder of the term "biochemical individuality" and this book, first published in 1956, is the only book that fully explains this concept of individuality or uniqueness. He guides us gently through all the different ways in which we are unique - from the size and shape of internal organs, our individual enzyme patterns through to the different nutritional needs we have.

In all honesty I expected this to be a boring read but it isn't - quite the opposite. I was quite taken aback about how different we actually are and how the terms "average" and "normal" have been used by the medical profession in ways that have prevented so many of us from being diagnosed accurately. Highly recommended.
